AI shopping assistant: your shop's sales assistant, around the clock
The customer says what they need. The assistant asks 1–2 questions and recommends the right products from your catalogue, or alternatives if you don't stock something.
In a physical shop, a customer who doesn't know what to buy asks the sales assistant: “I have dry hair, what would you recommend?”. In an e-shop there's usually nobody to ask. They type something into the search box, see 200 results and often leave.
Findora's Shopping assistant does what a good sales assistant does: it listens, asks as much as it needs to, and recommends.
The customer describes what they need and gets recommendations from the shop's catalogue, with price and basket button.
How it works
- The assistant has its own button inside the search bar, next to the barcode and microphone buttons. A few seconds after the page opens, a small speech bubble “pops out” of it: “Would you like help choosing the right product?”. It appears once per visit, so it doesn't get in the way.
- Customers can also find it in the search results (“Ask the assistant”) and, with the Product advisor, on every product page (“Questions about this product?”).
- The customer types or says out loud what they need, e.g. “sunscreen for oily skin up to €20”.
- When the need is clear, the assistant recommends straight away: “For your dry, damaged hair I recommend the following”. When the request is vague (“I want a gift”), it asks 1–2 short questions, with ready-made answer buttons.
- Every recommendation comes with a product card showing the price and an add-to-basket button. The product goes into the basket without the customer leaving the page.
Questions about a product: the Product advisor
With the AI Product advisor add-on, a “Questions about this product?” button appears on every product page. A customer looking at, say, a vitamin C supplement asks:
- “What does it help with?”
- “What strength is the one I'm looking at?”
- “How do I use it?”
- “Is there something more suitable for me? I often catch colds in winter.”
The assistant answers from what the product page in your shop says: description, benefits, ingredients, strength, directions. It doesn't answer from memory. If something isn't mentioned (e.g. the dosage), it says so and refers the customer to the pharmacist. For “is there something better?” it compares products in your catalogue and explains the difference, e.g. “with vitamin D and zinc” or “in capsules”.
It works on every platform with no setup at all. The more complete your product descriptions, the more useful the answers.
Only what you sell, and honestly
- The assistant searches your own catalogue, using the same Findora search engine. It recommends only products that exist: if the AI model “invents” a product, the server rejects it before it reaches the customer.
- If the customer asks for something you don't stock or that is out of stock, it says so clearly and suggests alternatives: “We don't have it at the moment; I'd suggest these as a replacement”.
- Prices and stock are always the shop's current ones.
Designed for pharmacies too
Many of our shops are pharmacies, so the assistant has strict limits:
- it does not diagnose and does not give dosages;
- for medicines, severe or persistent symptoms, pregnancy or young children, it refers the customer to the pharmacist or doctor;
- it only talks about the products and shopping in the shop.
Fast
Common questions (“sunscreen for oily skin”, “mask for dry hair”) are answered in under half a second, because Findora remembers the answers for each shop. Price and stock are re-checked from scratch every time, and if a product has sold out, the assistant searches again.
Data
The assistant uses Anthropic's Claude model. The model processes the text of the question and the details of the catalogue's products. We don't send it any of your customer's details (name, email, orders). The conversation is kept on our servers for one hour, so it can continue. Your customers' questions (not the answers) are stored without identifying data so you can see them in the portal (Overview → "Customer questions"); emails and phone numbers are hidden automatically.
Which plan includes it and how it's charged
The AI Shopping assistant and the AI Product advisor are included in Enterprise; on Basic and Pro you add them as add-ons, each with a monthly or annual price (Pricing). During the 30-day trial you get both, with no card required.
Usage is charged separately in AI credits, which you buy from the portal (my.findora.tech → “AI assistant”) by card (also via Apple Pay / Google Pay), including during the trial.
- Each question costs a fixed price, which you can see in the portal together with your balance and how many questions it covers.
- Credits don't expire.
- When your balance runs out, the assistant simply doesn't appear. Search carries on as normal.
- You switch it on or off with a single click.
